China: Steel mills pitch for third round of met coke price reduction

Steelmakers in China’s Tangshan, Shandong, Shanxi and Hebei have started pitching for a third round of price reduction of metallurgical coke amidst output curbs during the ongoing Winter Olympics. The buyers’ price for metallurgical coke in Handan, Hebei Province is at RMB 2,670/t ($420.20/t), down RMB 200/t d-o-d.
