South Korea: POSCO to raise stainless steel prices in June

POSCO will increase the price of 300 series products by KRW 100,000/t ($78/t) in Jun’22 in consideration of factors such as increasing foreign exchange rates and rising energy purchase costs, as per a SteelDaily report.
However, the prices of 316L and 400 series products were frozen in May, as POSCO froze the price of 300 series to protect the stainless steel industry despite major global producers raising product prices.
