- South Korean steel major, Pohang Iron and Steel Company (POSCO), has booked 40,000 t of US origin bulk scrap cargo for Nov’21 arrival, as per latest reports by Steel Daily.
- The cargo comprises HMS 1 which got booked at $515/t CFR, up $40/t against the previous contract.
- Due to increasing Japanese scrap offers, South Korean mills have shifted to other prospective scrap sources.
