State-owned Vizag Steel has scheduled an e-auction for around 1,500 t of steel grade pig iron on 16 Oct’21.The steelmaker’s previous pig iron auction conducted on 9 Oct for around 2,300 t of material was concluded at INR 45,050/t exw. As per SteelMint report, bid price increased by INR 1,550/t. Domestic pig iron prices are at historical highs on sustained rally in coking coal and met coke prices.
