South Korea: Major steel mills lift their scrap procurement prices by $16/t

South Korean major steel mills, Hyundai Steel, and SeAH Besteel increased their scrap buy prices by up to KRW 20,000/t ($16/t) from 27 Dec, as per SteelDaily reports.
Hyundai Steel (for its Incheon plant, Pohang, and Dangjin plants) and SeAh Besteel also hiked prices in response to an increase in domestic scrap demand and the upcoming winter season.
