According to the latest customs data, South Korea flat steel exports which includes 7208 (HR coils /Plates),7209 (CR coils), 7225 (Electrical sheets),7210/7212(GP/GC) have reported the increase of 5%, Y-o-Y basis in Jun’17 to 1.82 MnT compared to 1.74 MnT in Jun’16.
However on monthly basis South Korean flat steel exports increase marginally by 0.5% in Jun’17 against 1.81 MnT in May’17.
In the first half of 2017 (Jan-Jun) country’s flat steel exports rose by 1.4% to 11.21 MnT against 11.05 MnT in similar time-frame of previous year.

Country-wise South Korea Flat Steel Exports in Jun’17
China remained the major flat steel importer to South Korea and accounts for 16.17% of share in Jun’17.Other major countries include Japan,India followed by Mexico and Indonesia.
