South Korea: Ferrous scrap imports fall by 13%, m-o-m, in August

South Korea imported 277,239 t of scrap in Aug’22 as against 317,727 t in Jul’22, a decrease of 13% m-o-m, as per data maintained with SteelMint.
Japan was the top exporter at 206,278 t, followed by the USA at 47,610 t and Russia at 8,004 t.
Import volumes in Jan-Aug’22 totalled 3.15 mnt, a 9% rise as compared to the same period last year.
