South Korea: Ferro Alloy Imports Up by 14% M-o-M in Jun’17

According to the South Korean customs, the country has witnessed an increase of 14% M-o-M in its Ferro Alloy imports.

In Jun’17, South Korea imported a total of 0.08 MnT Ferro Alloys against 0.07 MnT in May’17. However, on yearly basis, there has been no change registered as it imported 0.08 MnT in Jun’16.

Ferro Chrome occupied the major volume of South Korean Ferro Alloy imports at 0.05 MnT in Jun’17 registering an increase of 25% M-o-M.

South Korea also imported Ferro Silicon at 0.02 MnT in Jun’17 witnessing no change in contrast to previous month. However, Silico Manganese registered an increase of 100% at 0.01 MnT in Jun’17 against null imports in May’17.

South Africa remains the largest exporter of Ferro Alloys to South Korea at 0.03 MnT in Jun’17, recording a mammoth increase of 200% against 0.01 MnT in May’17. India exported 0.02 MnT Ferro Alloys to South Korea in Jun’17 while China exported 0.01 MnT.
