South African silico manganese exports fall by 62% on month in Jul’21

According to customs data, the exports volume of silico manganese from South Africa registered a significant drop of 62.8%, m-o-m, in Jul’21. Increased prices of silico manganese amid tepid buying interest have resulted in a downfall in South African silico manganese exports on month in Jul. However, ferro manganese exports from South Africa surged by 63% on month in Jul as Belgium imported 9,500 t for the first time from South Africa. Excessive car production and construction projects are a result of the stringent supply and strong demand for ferro manganese in Europe.
