In a confirmed deal, 3,000 t of South African RB2 coal (5500 kcal/kg NAR) has been sold at INR 5,850/t ex-Gangavaram (exclusive of cess and GST). The API4 index has remained stable with the onset of the holiday season, and the price of RB2 grade coal at Indian ports is also stable amid reduced buying interest.
