Nepal’s finished steel imports rise sharply in Dec ’20

Finished flat steel imports from Nepal were registered at 46,814 t in Dec ’20, up 54% m-o-m compared to 30,427 t last month. Meanwhile, finished long steel imports recorded a significant rise of over three-fold and stood at 41,963 t in Dec ’20, according to SteelMint’s customs data. Strong domestic steel demand in Nepal boosted imports.
