Thermal coal exports to India from S. Africa surged by 44% to 2.89 mn t in June against 2.05 mn t in May’20 on demand recovery amid easing of lockdown restrictions and exports returning to normal monthly average of 3.5 mn t. S. Africa’s overall coal exports have fallen by 5% m-o-m to 6.42 mn t in June.
