South Africa: Ferro chrome exports up 13% m-o-m in Sep’22

South Africa’s ferro chrome exports increased by 13% m-o-m to 0.28 mnt in Sep’22 in comparison with 0.25 mnt in Aug’22, as per customs data.
Major importers were China at 0.08 mnt, Indonesia at 0.06 mnt and Mozambique at 0.64 mnt.
In Jan-Sep’22, total ferro chrome export volumes from the country stood at 2.67 mnt, a drop of 14% compared to the year-ago period.
