Power plants at Chattisgarh have something to cheer about after a long time. Power prices are up by Rs 0.50/unit where as coal prices have gone down by Rs 400-500 in domestic market.
” Power prices are hovering around Rs 4.50/ unit , which was at Rs 3.50/unit for quite some time. More over coal prices have also gone down by Rs 400-500 / ton in last e-auction.This has given some relief to power plants based at Chattisgarh.” said a power plant owner based in Raipur.
Most of the power plants had stopped operating on higher coal prices and low power prices, he added.
