Iran’s iron ore exports have dropped to just 4 mn t this year compared to 22-23 mn t between 2008 and 2013, the country’s caretaker Industries & Trade Minister has informed. This has significantly boosted the country’s steel industry, the Minister said, which has reached an output capacity of 37 mn t pa. Steel exports from Iran touched 12 mn t in the last Iranian CY ended Mar’20.
