Bangladeshi steel mills continue to remain silent in bulk scrap market in anticipation of a reduction in offers. Japanese bulk H2 offers to Bangladesh stands at $315-320/t CFR Chittagong. Bulk HMS offers from USA are currently assessed at $322-325/t CFR Chittagong. The country has imported around 1.37 mn t of scrap in bulk during CY’20 (till Aug).
