Serajuddin Mines, a merchant miner of Iron ore having operations in the state of Odisha, has resumed sales after October 2013
Serajuddin mines and co has resumed sales of iron ore after it had closed its booking since October 2013. Bookings were closed because miner had excavated what it had been permitted of.
The Mines have been granted a new Environmental Clearance from government, and can produce upto 15 MnT. Earlier it was allowed to mines around 4.5 MnT, out of which it has already mined 4.3 – 4.4 MnT.
Hence, the Miner has decided to resume its booking for Iron ore Products from Balda Block Iron Ore Mines located in mineral rich belt of Odisha. The prices have being revised looking into the prices going in market.
Revised Prices of Iron ore:
Fe 63% 5-18mm: Rs 5,200/MT
*Fe 63% 5-18mm: Rs 5,620/MT
Fe 63% Fines: Rs 2,200/MT
*Fe 63% FInes: 2,620//MT
Prices in INR/MT (Ex-Mines), including royalty
* Prices loaded to wagons/F.O.R Siding
Some relief for Sponge iron manufacturers
Serajuddin Mines resuming Iron ore production is a big relief for big and mid-sized Sponge iron manufacturers based in eastern India. Quite a lot of units used to source Iron ore from it. Serajuddin mines is one of the prominent merchant miner in Odisha and known for its high quality ore.
However market experts believe that Sponge iron prices will not come under pressure very soon as production to dispatch will take some time.
