Government owned-Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has reported a growth of 15% saleable steel production to 10.18 MnT during Apr-Dec’16 as compare to same period of the previous year. Out of this, 1.18 MnT recorded in Dec’16 alone.
SAIL also recorded a jump in the sales of about 16% during Apr-Dec’16 over the corresponding period last year. The company’s sales growth is contributed by domestic as well as export market.
Sales Volume to cross 14 MnT in FY’17
As reported by the company, SAIL also set the target for sales volume to cross 14 MnT in the current financial year. Although, the company sales is about 12-13 MnT. It is also eyeing to substantially increase its export figure,that is about 10% of the total production.
