Russia, the world’s largest Pig iron exporter has exported 0.75 MnT Pig iron in Sept’16 according to Russian customs data.
Russian Pig iron exports have registered a growth of 50% M-o-M in Sept’16 against 0.50 MnT in the month of Aug’16. On similar lines, exports grew by 34% on Y-o-Y basis against 0.56 MnT in Sept’15.
In the first nine months of 2016, the country exported 4.14 MnT Pig iron, up by 8.3% as compared to the same period prior this year.
Country’s Pig iron exports are majorly directed towards the USA followed by Italy, Spain, and Taiwan, UAE etc. In Sept’16, exports to USA was recorded at 0.17 MnT, Italy 0.01 MnT, Spain 0.05 MnT, Taiwan 0.01 MnT, UAE 0.03 MnT etc.
