Russia: Pig Iron exports Surge by 38% in Jun’17

According to the fresh data released by Russian customs the nation has exported around 0.54 MnT pig iron in Jun’17 up by 38% against 0.39 MnT in May’17.

However, on yearly premises the exports declined in Jun’17 by 14% from 0.63 MnT in Jun’16.

Similar, fall is being reported in the first half of CY17 as the country’s total exports was reported at 2.26 MnT during Jan-Jun’17 against same preceding CY16 at 2.66 MnT.

Analyzing, yearly exports – in CY16 (Jan-Dec’17) the country’s pig iron exports stood at 5.14 MnT against at 5.34 MnT CY 15

Unload Countries: United States accounted 76% to total pig iron exports from Russia in Jun’17 with quantity around 0.41 MnT. Turkey and Italy accounted 9% with 0.05 MnT and 6% with 0.03 MnT respectively.

Also in the first half of the year, US remained the largest consumer of Russian Pig Iron with total quantity accounted at 1.47 MnT which contribute share of 65.7% of total export quantity.
