Russia, the world’s largest Pig iron exporter has exported 0.41 MnT Pig iron in Nov’16 according to Russian customs data.
Russian Pig iron exports have registered a downfall of 15% M-o-M in Nov’16 against 0.48 MnT in the month of Oct’16. On similar lines, exports dropped down by 31% on Y-o-Y basis against 0.59 MnT in Nov’15.
In the first 11 months of 2016, the country exported 4.66 MnT Pig iron, down by 1% as compared to 4.70 MnT in the same period prior this year.
Country’s Pig iron exports are majorly directed towards the USA followed by Italy, Taiwan etc. In Nov’16, exports to USA was recorded at 0.23 MnT, Italy 0.07 MnT, Taiwan 0.01 MnT etc.
