Russia: Metalloinvest records marginal decline in HBI output in CY’21

Russia’s leading HBI producer Metalloinvest registered a marginal drop of 0.6% in production of metallics to 7.74 mnt in CY’21. Shipments of HBI fell by 6.3% to 4.22 mnt while pig iron shipments increased by 14.7% to 1.42 mnt last year. The company’s crude steel output dropped 1.3% to 4.9 mnt in CY’21.
