Russia may impose an export duty on billets and rebars – sources

To control the flying, domestic steel prices, the Russian government is pondering to impose export duties on rebar and billet, sources reported to SteelMint. It is to protect the Russian domestic steel industry. According to a few reports, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS) has proposed a 13% duty on billet exports and a 12% duty on rebar exports.
