According to Russian customs data, flat steel exports which includes (7208 – HR coils/Plates,7209 – CR coils, 7210, 7212 GP/GC and 7225 electrical sheets) registered the increases of 4.4% on monthly basis in Oct’17.Nation has exported 0.71 MnT of flat steel in Oct’17 which was at 0.68 MnT in Sep’17.
Although on yearly basis,Russia flat steel exports moved up significantly by 9.2% in Oct’17 against Oct’16.In Oct’16 the country’s flat steel exports stood at 0.65 MnT.
During first ten months of CY17 (Jan-Oct’17), Russian flat steel exports summed up at 7.7 MnT, marginal up by 2% against 7.56 MnT in the similar time-frame of CY16.

Turkey was the largest importer of flat steel in Jan-Oct’17- During the time span of Jan-Oct’17,Russia has exported 32.67% ( summed up-to 2.52 MnT) of share flat steel to Turkey.Other major countries include Egypt 0.41 MnT (5.27%), Iran 0.45 MnT (5.85%) and Belarus 0.52 MnT (6.77%) in similar time period.
However in the month of Oct’17,Russia has exported 0.27 MnT of flat steel to Turkey which is higher by 50% M-o-M basis as compared to 0.18 MnT in Oct’17.Other major importers of Russia in Sep’17 are Belarus (0.06 MnT),Egypt (0.01MnT) and Iran at (0.03MnT).
