Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) had earlier decided to cancel the 30,000 tons steel grade Pig Iron exports tender due to no response for the second time during the month.
But, looking at improving steel markets across the globe, the company has now planned to open the tender on the 5th of January, 2013.
According to a senior official of RINL, “Steel prices are being raised by manufacturers across the globe. We are also holding a huge quantity of Pig Iron, more than one lac tons.
Hence, we have taken a decision to wait for a couple of weeks more and expect some good response this time”.
