RINL opens domestic Pig iron sales for May

After receiving low bid for Pig iron export tender on 3rd, which was not awarded, RINL has resumed sales in domestic market for May.

It is being offered at Rs 22,500/MT (ex-works) with Rs 750/MT discount, on buying interest for 15,000 tons.

From mid-March, RINL was not offering Pig iron to domestic buyers on shortage of material.

It is currently having low stock of Pig iron due to usage of more quantity of hot metal in semi finished and finished steel production.

RINL, with 0.4 MnTPA Pig iron output from four of its blast furnaces, on maintenance reasons, might hold operations for about six months, from one of the furnaces in June end.
