Raipur: “There is a word in the street that
SAIL might increase prices of Rebars by about Rs 1,000/MT around first week of
April. Prices of other plants also may follow suit. 12mm Re-bar in Raipur is
trading at Rs 39,000/MT (Basic price),” a broker from Raipur remarked.
Mumbai: “Demand for Re-bar has increased in Mumbai
as bookings have started to take place for the next month. Late delivery of
goods by a couple of days may not matter as consumers are in need. Trading
prices have jumped by Rs 500/MT and 12mm Re-bar in Mumbai is being quoted at Rs
39,400/MT (Basic price),” said Mr. Narendra Sharma from Mumbai.
Hyderabad: “Hyderabad Re-bar prices have also
shown an uptrend by Rs 500/MT as Ingot prices have shown gains and also because
power prices are expected to rise. We expect a positive market from the first
week of the next month itself. 12mm Re-bar in Hyderabad is offered at Rs.
40,700/MT (Basic price),” remarked a manufacturer from Hyderabad.
