RBCT Shipment dropped by 14% in November

Richards Bay Coal Terminal shipped 6.2 MnT of Coal in November, 2013 which is 14.4% less from previous month.

World’s leading Coal exporting port, Richards Bay Coal Terminal’s (RBCT) Coal exports have decreased by 14.4% M-o-M. It exported about 6.2 MnT of Coal in November, 2013. Coal exports have decreased by 4.1% compared to same period previous year.

RBCT shipped around 63.4 MnT of Coal till November, 2013 which is 3.1% more from same period last year.

Owing to the weak supply from Colombia, European buyers shifted to South African Coal which supported Coal prices. However, owing to 11.7% less Coal delivery by rail rakes, Coal stocks at port dropped by 7% to 4.2 MnT in November, 2013.

6.2 MnT of Coal was shipped in 60 vessels, including 39 Capesize vessel, 11 Panamax vessels and 10 Handysize vessels. Year to date, RBCT have shipped 598 vessels, including 398 Capesize vessels, 89 Panamax vessels and 111 Handysize vessels.
