Structure offers in major Indian cities have fell marginally this week. While in Ahmedabad, transporters strike resulted in price hike.
Structure prices in Mumbai have fell slightly by INR 100/MT this week. During the week, prices of Ingot and Billet have registered fall of about INR 200/MT. Similarly, in the mid of this week, Structure prices fell by INR 200/MT for the first time after a month but then, quickly recovered by INR 100/MT. It’s to be noted that, the prices of Structure last week were improved by INR 300/MT owing to increased Ingot and Billet prices.
Structure offers in Raipur were reduced owing to thin buying. In a week’s time prices fell by INR 200-300/MT. According to market participant “Structure prices improved in last few weeks owing to high Semi Finished prices. But demand remained constant and as a result, prices fell again this week.” It’s to be noted that the prices of Ingot and Billet had dropped by INR 300-400/MT within a week’s time.
Native sellers based at Durgapur have their Structure offers cut by INR 300/MT. Although, the demand for Structure is average but there’s a slight fall in prices of Ingot that’s negatively affecting Structure prices.
Although, the Structure prices were stable in the starting of this month, transporters’ strike in Ahmedabad has pushed up Finish prices sharply by INR 400-600/MT.
Hyderabad’s Structure manufacturers kept offers unchanged from last 2 weeks. Participant expects that prices will not change in next week too.
Market players expects that market may improve from mid of December, before that there’s only a slight possibility of improvement in the demand.

40 mm Angle at Raipur: INR 31,600/MT
125 mm I-Beam at Durgapur: INR 33,650/MT
100 mm Channel at Ahmedabad: INR 33,800/MT
75 mm Channel at Mumbai: INR 36,000/MT
