Primetals Technologies has been awarded with a contract to supply an upstream mill to Turkey’s Kaptan Demir Celik (Kaptan Iron and Steel), as per latest reports. This is a follow-up order by Kaptan after receiving a wire rod unit recently for its Marmara Ereglisi facility. The upstream mill, with an annual capacity of 650,000 t, will supply round feedstock that will be further rolled and finished at the wire rod facility.
