Spot prices of seaborne coking coal continue to fall on the
back of low offers from Chinese buyers.
Currently the market for Premium Low-volume is at $170/MT
(FOB AUSTRALIA) down from the previous value, however price for HCC 64
Mid-Volume is at $155/MT (FOB).
“The market has
shifted from having plenty of buyers to having plenty of sellers,” a source
said adding that four additional brands of Australian Hard Coking Coal (HCC) and Pulverized Coal Injection (PCI) are available for spot purchase.
