Petcoke import continued to dominate in India as import offers have been low to prompt buyers in the country to procure from international markets.
During Feb’16, a record quantity of 1,028,950 MT of imports entered into India, and that was slightly lower than the quantity of 1,071,000 MT, imported in Jan’16, according to SteelMint Research.

Notably, the Jan’16 import was the highest in this fiscal, followed by the Feb’16 import.
Among the top importers for the month, Ambuja Cement, Shree Cement, Ramco Cement, Dalmia Cement, Ultratech Cement, JSW Steel were worth mentioning.
During FY16, a total of 8,957,950 MT of imports have landed at Indian portstill Feb’16, SteelMint Research shows.
