Central India pellet offers have Increased further amid limited availability in merchant market.
As per the recent report to SteelMint, a pellet makers in Central India (Raipur) has reported a deal to be concluded at INR 9,000/MT (basic). Following which they have raised offers to INR 9,200/MT (basic). Last week, Central India pellet price was around INR 8,500- 8,700/MT in Raipur.
Thus in a week’s time prices have gone up by INR 500-600/MT and in a month’s time prices have climbed by INR 2,500/MT.
As per sources, Central India based major pellet makers are still not offering owing to decent export bookings made, led to the material shortage in the merchant market. P-DRI prices have also been increased by INR 3,200/MT M-o-M and trading at INR 24,600/MT (basic).
Besides, few pellet makers are not offering in merchant market amid decent bookings made in exports. Also, monsoons have hampered the material availability in the market further, supporting price rise.
