Paradip Port, had invited applications from interested and eligible firms for allotment of 10 no. of mechanical iron ore plots of 5,000 square meter for exports. The auction was conducted on 07 Nov’15.
According to sources, the plot auction received lukewarm responses. Total 3 companies participated in the auction namely JSW Steel, Rungta Mines and Bagadiya Brothers for mechanical iron ore plots of 5,000 square meters. However, manual plots were failed to receive bids.
Basically, Paradip Port does plot auction every year. Last year auction rent went to 0.06 bn pa for 5000 sq meter with only 1-2 bidders, among which Rungta mines was the major bidder. Majority of participants canceled their agreements.
