As we have reported earlier, Paradip plot auction received aggressive participation in recently conducted e-auction on 16th Jan’17. Total 19 companies qualified the technical round for 7 mechanical plots with base price set at INR 62 per square meter.
Plot auction has received aggressive bidding from various traders on hopes of increased iron ore and pellet exports in 2017. It is to be noted that, in last 1 year iron ore and pellets exports from India has shown a remarkable increase and Indian exporters are positively looking forward to see further increase in 2017.
Notably, this time, the bids received were much higher as compared to previous e-auction. The last e-auction which conducted on 04 Apr’16 for 10 mechanical plots (each plot of 5,000 square meters) was closed at INR 17 per 5000 square meter of plot per month.
In current e-auction, Kashvi Power and Steel Pvt. Ltd turned out to be the H1 bidder and quoted at INR 1258 per 5000 square meter per month. The annual rent to be paid by H1 bidder would come around 7.5 crore per year.
