Pakistan’s non-coking coal imports surged 48% m-o-m to 0.74 mnt in Feb’26 from 0.5 mnt in Jan’26, supported by stronger demand. Imports increased sharply by 131% y-o-y from 0.32 mnt in Feb’25, indicating higher procurement. South Africa remained the leading supplier at 0.58 mnt (up 81% y-o-y), while Indonesia re-entered the market with 0.16 mnt after no shipments in the previous month.
