Pakistan: Ferrous scrap imports up over 30% m-o-m in Nov’21

Pakistan, the leading ferrous scrap importer in South Asia, has recorded an increase in monthly imports by 31% in Nov’21 on healthy steel demand.
The country’s scrap imports stood at 0.46 mn t in Nov against 0.35 mn t in Oct, as per SteelMint data.
On a y-o-y basis, import volumes rose by 21% from 0.38 mn t in Nov’20.
