- China’s billets import in Nov’21 rose to 1.73 mn t from 1.21 mn t in Oct, a significant month-on-month rise of 42.97%, according to recent data released by customs.
- Vietnam was the largest exporter with 0.32 mn t, followed by India and UAE with 0.29 mn t and 0.26 mn t, respectively.
- However, billets import volumes fell significantly by 33% in Jan-Nov’21 to 11.06 mn t as against 16.60 mn t in the same period last year.
