Pakistan’s ferrous scrap import prices have risen significantly by $5-10/t against the last SteelMint assessment on 24 Jun’21.
- A leading steel mill booked 8,000 t UK-origin shredded scrap in containers at $537-538/t, CFR Port Qasim, sources have confirmed.
- A few more deals of around 10,000 t of shredded scrap were heard to have been concluded in the range of $537-540/t.
- Following active bookings, fresh offers have jumped to $545/t, CFR levels, as per latest reports.
