Indian
export market for Ferro Alloys continues to remain dull as there were no major
deals have been closed this week. Silico Manganese 60/14 was heard being quoted
at $950-980/MT (FOB Vizag) i.e. same from last trades happened.
In
a recent deal, a small cargo of around 1,000 MT of Silico Manganese 65/16 was
sold on Monday this week at $1,100/MT FOB Haldia.
Ferro
Manganese HC 75% was heard being quoted slightly lower at $ 1020-1050/MT and reference
price of HC 70% was $950/MT (FOB Vizag/Haldia).
“Inquiries are there in the market but buyers are expecting a further discount of
$10-20/MT even after offering the material at $1,080-1,100/MT FOB for SiMn
65/16 grade. We are unwilling to correct our offers below $1,100/MT FOB mark”,
said a top official from a manufacturing & export company for Manganese
Alloys in Durgapur.
“Market
is likely to get strengthen by the end of the month. European suppliers will
get busy in summer holidays and it might support to supply the material at
higher prices”, he added.
