Over 20,000 t sponge iron exported by Indian producers to neighbouring nations

Seven rakes (14,000 t) of sponge iron (FeM 80%, lumps 70%, fines 30%) were sold at an average $465/t LTW eastern India, equivalent to $485/t CPT Nepal. Two-three rakes (5,000-7,000 t) of P-DRI were sold at $445-450/t CPT Nepal.
SteelMint’s weekly price assessment fell $5/t to $485/t CPT Nepal for FeM 80% material.
Offers for Bangladesh are stable at around $425/t CPT Benapole, with 2,000 t deals reported this week.
