Opening Bell: Base Metals Market Update

The opening stock of aluminium at LME warehouses was 589,725 t of which Live warrants were 369,550 t and cancelled warrants were 220,175 t. Nickel stocks were assessed at 73,068 t of which Live warrants were 62,484 t and cancelled warrants 10,584 t. Warrants are documents representing entitlement to LME metal lots. While aluminium stocks fell by 18,275 t w-o-w, nickel stocks increased by 468 t on the week. Notably, copper stocks rose by 18% w-o-w to 130,500 t.
