Indian merchant chrome ore miner, OMC will conduct an auction for 35,100t chrome ore (grade 40-54% Cr2O3) and 100,000 t sub grade ores (Cr2O3 less than 40%) on 15th Mar 2021. Although the ferrochrome prices have increased by around 8% m-o-m, alloy smelters will want to tread carefully as the ferrochrome price rise has halted due to a fall in Nickel and Stainless-steel prices in China.
