State-owned, MSTC-Karnataka, conducted an e-auction of manganese ore on behalf of Sandur Mines (SMIORE) on 05th March 2021. Only 28,224t (76.71%) was booked out of the 36,792t offered, at close to the floor price. The bidders were less interested to book as the manganese ore prices increased compared to the previous auction. Meanwhile, the producers should be more willing to buy in the upcoming auctions due to increased imported manganese ore prices.
