State based miner OMC has offered 39,400 MT of Chrome ore, including 35,100 MT of friable ore and 4,300 MT of concentrate ore to be sold through an e-auction on 25 Jan’15. The material would be available from OMC’s South Kaliapani and Sukringi mines in Sukinda, Odisha.
Meanwhile, the miner has further reduced Chrome ore base prices by 12%, following lukewarm response from the buyers in the previous held e-auctions. While base price of the +54 grade friable Chrome ore has been reduced by 10% to INR 8,898 from INR 9,891 last month. The 52-54 grade base prices has also been reduced by 10% to INR 8,569 from INR 9,525 last month. On the other hand, the 48-50 grade Chrome ore has been reduced by 12% to INR 6,332 and the 46-48 grade base price has been reduced by 12% to INR 6,068 from INR 6,933 in December.
