MS billet market has showed minor price corrections of INR 100-300/MT D-o-D in few regions including Durgapur and Rourkela. Prices have corrected in domestic market on account of lull buying activities from end-users. Current billet offers are prevailing in the range of INR 20,200-22,950/MT across key markets.
Today, Shyam Metalics located in Odisha is offering billet at INR 20,200/MT ex-plant. In addition, it is heard that few deals for pellet sponge were concluded at INR 11,000/MT yesterday.
Viewing the present scenario, manufacturers are still in wait-and-watch condition and eyeing on government’s further step to be taken on MIP imposition.
