After successful auction of Ghoraburhani-Sagasahi iron ore block, govt. of Odisha is up with two more iron ore blocks to be put under hammer.
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 10 (B) of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 and in accordance with the Mineral (Auction) Rules, 2015 notified there under, the Government of Odisha has identified 3 mineral blocks, 2 blocks of Iron ore and 1 block of Limestone for e- auction and hereby invited tenders for the purposes of grant of Mining Lease.
The Government of Odisha reserves Kalamang West (Northern Part) Iron Ore block for Specified End Use. The Mineral Block has been reserved for Specified End Use pursuant to the proviso to sub-section (6) of Section 10 B of the Act read with sub-rule (3) of rule 6 of the Mineral (Auction) Rules, 2015. The Bidder having a Specified End Use Plant shall be eligible to participate in the e-auction.
Prior to this, last year Odisha govt had auctioned “Ghoraburhani-Sagasahi” iron ore block with total reserves of 99.59 MnT. The block was won by Essar Steel.
