Directorate of Mines Odisha to conduct a meeting on Aug 29 to discuss reverse bidding auction process with stakeholders.
Directorate of Mines, Odisha is to conduct a meeting on 29 Aug’15 to discuss the modalities of e-auction of transport contracts. Earlier this month, Odisha govt fixed ceiling prices of mineral transportation in 6 mineral bearing states in which it had fixed different slabs for mineral transportation beyond and within 100 kms.
As per the notification, for transportation beyond 100 km the maximum freight rate for a 6 wheeler truck has been fixed at INR 6.40 per tonne per km. For a 10 wheeler truck it is INR 5.10 per tonne per km and for a 12 wheeler truck the maximum freight rate is INR 4.10 per tonne per km.
DoM Odisha with the help of MSTC will conduct reverse bidding auction, where the transport contract will be awarded to the one who bids the lowest.
