Odisha govt had invited bids for auction of Badampahar Iron ore and manganese mines lease last week. In a recent update received on it, 29 companies have actively participated in the auction. According to SteelMint sources, 29 companies have received participation for mines lease including Rungta Sons, Yazdani, Kashvi Power, Super Smelter, Vedanta Ltd, Triveni Ignicon (P) Ltd, S.D Formento, etc.

The announcement of the technically qualified bidders will be done on Monday, 29 Jun’2020 followed by which the submission of the final price offer will be done through the electronic platform on 30 Jun’20. The announcement of the preferred bidder will be on 06 Jul’20.
Lal traders was the existing leaseholder of the Badamapahar iron ore block. It was one amongst the 21 merchant mining leases which were due to expire on 31 Mar’20. Earlier, the auction process of Badampahar was deferred due to some legal issues.
