State-owned miner NMDC has recently issued an EoI for enlisting customers on long term basis for supply of iron ore from Bailadila Mines.
NMDC produces about 32 MnT iron ore pa and through this EoI, the company proposes to widen their customer base by enlisting new customers. Interested participants can send their quotations by 05 Oct’15.
The following products of iron ore from Bailadila Mines will be available for both existing long term customers as well as new customers who wish to enlist as long term customers with NMDC.

Enlisting as long term customers will include following criteria:
- End user plants namely steel,sponge iron, pellet etc who have been sourcing iron ore from NMDC during preceding 1 year.
- End user plants with minimum production capacity of 0.5 MnT pa of hot metal or crude steel. Also, pellet plants having production capacity of 0.5 MnT pa.
- Sponge iron plants having production capacity of 200 MT per day.
- Customers interested to lift preferable fines through any medium other than rail.
NMDC (C.G.) supplied 13.2 MnT iron ore to its existing customers in FY15
NMDC, the largest iron ore producer supplied 13.2 MnT iron ore to its existing customers from Chhattisgarh via 3,443 rakes in FY15. The major buyer was RINL which contributed 44%, JSW Steel which contributed 13% and Tata steel which contributed 5% of the total iron ore supplied.
Since the company is planning to enhance production by 35 MnT by FY 16, it is now focusing more on to increase its dispatches through this EoI.
